What can I say? The crazy guys at Sapporo are either genius or completely stupid for teaming up with Royce Chocolate. Sadly I haven't tried this strange brew but I am on a mission to try some. I actually found it in the basement of an electrical store (Bic Camera). Once I have a wiff of this mix I will let you know my verdict. I can only imagine that it will be horrible; the reason why I know this is that I tried eating chocolate and drinking beer at the same time and it just tasted wrong. Let's hope they spent some good yen on the R&D of the product to have a malty cocoa bonanza.
I saw the adverts for this on a yamanote line train. I imagine the worst.

They were selling it in Tokyo Food show at Shibuya (which I only realised yesterday is actually a branch of "Seijo Ishi" the supermarket chain )
I agree that this product is just a gimmick to get on the chocolate valentines bandwagon. Though it isn't enough to persuade me into buying one.
